Robert J Ralph is listed in Long's book as c1940. This view is much later, perhaps c1962 judging by the cars. When did the first Mini come off the production line?

Whats interesting with this view is that Ralph's Chemist shop features on the left of the card. This is Orr St, the main street of Queenstown. The Post Office is the building on the right with the clock tower.

A good real photo view of a train on the Abt Railway. Postcard size and thickness but plain back.

I can now prove that Queenstown photographer and Chemist Robert Ralph produced plain backed postcards. That is he did not have the word Post Card or any other printed information on the back of his real photo postcards except his rubber stamped logo " Robert Ralph, Chemist, Queenstown, Tas" in purple ink. Notice that this stamped logo is different to the previous post. It does not have the word photographer and has a boxed border.

This postcard view of Queenstown was posted from Queenstown on the 23/11/1951 to Switzerland.

All his other real photo cards which I have seen have been postally unused and hence I was not sure if they were sold as postcards or as souvenir photo snap shots.
