Geo. W. Prince 1947 FDC - how many were produced actually?

This interesting FDC for the 1d Princess Elizabeth Wedding commemorative was produced by Geo. W. Prince
and is the only known cacheted FDC by this Tasmanian collector/publisher.

On page 158 of "Australian First Day Covers" by Moore, Woolley and Pauer (2009) it is stated that "All copies are numbered:
1 to (I think) 1,000".

Each cover has been handstamped with a consecutive number on the back. My example (above) is number 14.

In over 30 years, I have only seen three other examples of this FDC so is this information (i.e. 1,000 were produced) correct?

One would assume that if 1,000 copies were produced and distributed, one would see them more often ... especially in Tasmania!

Hence my enquiry ....if you have an example of this FDC, can you please post it's "number" in this topic?

Thanks in advance - Ross

Australian FDC aficionado Frank Pauer reports "the numbers I have are 11, 506, 692, 798, 831, 839, and 883".

Thanks Frank!

Perhaps there is up to 1,000 of them after all .... but where are they? If know a collector of Australian pre-decimal
FDC's please ask them to check their collection for this cover and report.
