After retiring from The University of SA in 1996, I decided to collect South Australia. In 2004, my wife and I moved to St. Helens and my interest in SA began to wane. In 2007, I started to collect philatelic material of all types that has been used in my local area and this consequently stimulated an interest in the Tasmanian Pictorial issues. I am a member of the P.S.S.A., The S.A. Study Group, and in 2002, was invited by Michael Blake to join The Royal Philatelic Society London. I have been a member of the Launceston P.S. since 2007.
