The $64 question is whether any examples of Plate 1 or Plate 2 have been
seen on the London printings of the 1d and 2d sideface of 1878. There has
been some controversy regarding the plate numbers used by De La Rue as
shown in the chapter of Tinsley's book on sideface issues and the articles
written on this topic by such writers as Ingles and Easterbrook.
[NB The local printings are not included in this query. They are of much
poorer quality, compared to the excellent quality London printings. This
query only concerns the London printings.]
