My name is Mike and I have been collecting Tasmanian postmarks seriously for the last couple of years. I like all periods but am particularly interested in the circular datestamps on Tasmanian pictorials and postcards, as well as the 2nd allocation numbers. I also have an interest in some of the other colonies, especially South Australia and the postal history of the Northern Territory. I am looking forward to relocating with my wife to Tasmania in the next two years. We are hoping to settle in north eastern Tassy, and would be excited to attend a real philatelic meeting with other collectors.
