#1 Post by Revenuer » Sat Nov 10, 2012 3:23 pm

Some blind perfs here on this 1d KGV with run N, but i can't find any records of a 2 x 7

Has this been recorded? Any help appreciated.

You can see blind perfs over the S & L

The stamp shows at least 5 impressions horizontally. Nothing special about a perfin with blind perfs. Missing perfs is another matter, but these broke the paper fibers, so they are blind and not missing.

Could this then be 7x7 as this is recorded but a 5x7 is not.

On the 1d KGV red, 5x7 is just as probable as 7x7 so at this stage I'd say it's an unrecorded 5x7.

I am quite surprised to see this format though - at the time this stamp was issued, the perfin pattern
was usually 5x5 or 6x6. Seven holes in either direction would have to be extremely rare in my opinion.
