Zeehan stationer, E.M.Welling, produced a number of quality postcards of the Zeehan area.

Colour series with red captions. A set of 6? Can you add to this set?

4 Trial Harbour. (view of a rough sea and a rugged rocky coastline.)
5 Murchison River. (distant view of a suspension bridge)
6 Suspension Bridge, Murchison River.

Sadly, no additions. I do have mint and used copies of Murchison River listed and that is all.

Interesting to note on the Zeehan Smelters card above that the
mansion in the foreground (manager's residence?) had an upstairs
flushing loo ..... not many houses would have had one of those anywhere
in Australia and at remotest Zeehan ... they had all the 'mod cons' (literally)!!!

Note sewage pipes on back of house with ventilators above gutter level.
(my Dad was a plumber so I can spot these things!! )

As a footnote, I have just acquired on EBay a copy of the Trial Harbour card postally used from Zeehan to Valetta, Malta in 1912 - by pure chance, cancelled on (a precursor date of) my birthday!
