Hi my name is Harry Vine

Whilst re-housing my pretty basic Tasmanian stamps, I needed to research perf OS and T
Google led to here, and I read a couple of interesting articles.
I then realized, I really needed to be part of this group to keep up to date with all that's happening with Tas stamps.
So here I am.
I collect Australia, States and anything else that catches my attention (normally pre WWII).
Thanks for allowing access to this wonderful goldfield of information
Hopefully i might be able to contribute from time to time

Re: Introduction
Hello Apptec
Welcome to our group. You may be interested to know that a well known Tasmanian stamp auction house is at present conducting an online auction, with final bids due in by Saturday week [27th. April]. Obviously, I cannot identify the Auction House, however some brief research by yourself should quickly reveal the identity. There are always numerous lots of good quality Tasmanian material on offer. The current auction has chalons, sidefaces, tablets and pictorials. There are numerous highly specialised items, as well as punctured stamps, postcards, covers etc.

Jeff/Peter,
Thank you for your welcome messages
I might just float around looking at all the informative material that is here, before I post to many questions.
Answers might already be here, and i don't want to look too silly to start with
I did also find the Tasmanian Auction coming up.
I didn't know they existed. So will follow that with interest.
I have also read the rules, but saw no reference to mentioning Company name etc, have i missed something ?
Always learning
Regards
Harry Vine

Re: Introduction
Hello Harry,
Thank you for your response. You are probably correct regarding the rules mentioning company names in this forum. I tend to be very pedantic when it comes to rules and regulations. The reasons I did not mention the name of the auction house are that the proprietor is a prominent member of this forum and I also have few lots on offer in the auction.
