Shipwreck, Name and Where??

#1 Post by Mike » Tue Jul 16, 2013 7:29 pm

Just acquired these two interesting photographs. My quick research suggests the wreck could be the G.W.Wolff which was wrecked on Prime Seal Island Bass Strait in 1912.
See Tasmanian Shipwrecks Vol 2 by Broxam and Nash.

Can anyone confirm it is the G.W.Wolff??

Hi Mike,

These are undoubtedly of G W Wolff and magnificent they are, too. In fact, Mike Nash and I would be very keen to see them in the new edition of Tasmanian Shipwrecks 1900-2012 which we are just about to send off for editing and will be happy to discuss this off-list!

Regards

Graeme
