  • issued to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the discovery of zinc at Rosebery in 1893
  • all examples seen have been struck in purple ink - "Australian Pictormarks"® (2001) reported 8134 cancels were impressed
  • whether this postmark was used on commercial mail as well as on philatelic covers needs to be ascertained
