- Article from the Mercury newspaper dated 19th November 1943 outlining the remarkable efforts of long time Postmaster, Mr George Henry Williams and his service to the district.The article also describes how the original Exeter Post Office name was changed to Loira after a second Post Office (New Exeter Post Office) was required in the area to service the expanding local orchards.
